I think this is something to do with the motor being raised above the main fuselage, (and possibly also partly to do with the downward angle of the thrust applied by the motor). I had tons of trouble with the Bix at first, because the aileron servos kept shorting out the receiver/ESC.

This is an area, where the Bix 3 greatly differs from it's predecessors. Edit: the SK3 2836mm 1040kv motor is a very nice motor, but it's slighly overkill for a 8x3.8 prop. A ligther SK3 2822 or 2826mm motor could do that.
