I like it in the 45acp, but only w/ 230gr bullets or high end, near +P, w/ lighter bullets. Like Unique, it's at it's best loaded above midrange vel/pressure levels. On my Lee Powder dispenser it is the 4.3 disk. I have used the 4.6 disk but didn't see the need in using the extra powder. I think my loads are real nice out of my Glock 17. It seems like I was set up at about 1.136 on the overall lenght.
WebJul 24, 2024 · I'm a little low but I didn't load max either. WSF is a LOT slower than WST. I love that load! It doesn't have the sharp impulse of most factory powders and makes .40 enjoyable to shoot. We have some Sig 229s and a 239 in .40 so it is worth the effort to come up with a fun load that also matches the performance of an SD round. Used cci largebpistol primers, 5.9 grains of WSF, and 230 grain fmj Winchester round nose bullets. 10 fired well so I made 50 more and hit the range yesterday.
