The Doetsch Tech shocks use to be really soft and they had an extra soft model when they were black but for the price it might be worth a shot.

When you go with the reversal the shackle goes on the front and the hanger on the back.To me this would not work as well because now the shackle cannot rotate back but I just don't know.
